Can't get the dang carbs off
Can't get the dang carbs off. I removed the 6 nuts on the bottom with no problem as per the manual, and it should just slide off....yeah right. Either its stuck or there's more bolts to come off? All I can see is on the top there's behind the fuel lines there's another set of bolts. Do they need to come off too? All I can get off is the first ones on each ends. I tries searching but all I could find is the removal of the 6 bolts.

they could just be stuck down with rtv or something. try using a rubber mallet to gently caress them off. there are only six bolts and the two cables 9throttel and choke) toward the gas tank

you need to take off the oil lines behind the black base cover first, then the oil pump rod, then the 6 nuts. then the choke cable and the oil pump cable, then it should move up n out.

I don't have the oil injection, the previous owner switched it to premix.

Well after the rubber mallet and some cuss words It still don't budge. So I took a pic, hope it works. It looks like my carb rail has mounts on the bottom(6, which I got) as well as another 6 on top? THis is a pic of the front of the engine. Note the bolts on the top, one I got out but the next one you can barely see. That goes along the while rail but the bolts are covered by the fuel lines. Looking at the flange, it looks to be one piece with bolts on top and bottom. Let me know what you think before I break something i'm not supposed to as I don't think duct tape will fix this one.

This missing/removed bolt in the picture is a manifold bolt, not a carb bolt. The carbs have 6 nuts holding them on...not the 6 lower manifold bolts which is what I think you have removed.

Yeah it looks like your unbolting reed cage bolts, The carb bolts are directly at the bottem or the carbs ,use a mirror to find bolt location, Then use a 12 mm wrench, use the open end & be patient they can be quite a bitch.
