    Cool 2004 GP1300r Starting problem

Can somebody please help me with my gp1300r that doesnt want to start up. After being told by the yamaha dealer in the UK that the stator coild was faulty i changed it out with a brand new one. I then have tried to start the ski after putting it back together then to my dismay i am back to square one! Advice to all in the UK DO NOT GO TO BEACH ROCK there useless!
Please can anyone recommend what to do or try thanks.

    Check PM.
I reckon it's the throttle cable not returning the bodies to thier fully closed position killing the spark.
A known problem-and Yamaha know about it, and offer a free fix-i.e a new throttle cable.

    Yep-AND free fitting.
Phone the dealer with your hull id and engine number, and they will tell you if the upgrade has been done on your ski.
I got my dealer to send me the cable and i did it, so I know it's right.
The dealer won't mind cause they bill Yamaha for the parts and labour.
