SHO Riva Ride Plate vs Standard Ride Plate which to send to Jim

    Any opinions chaps ?

I have an R+D Plate and my standard Plate

Which one should I send to Jim to work his magic

Which will give better top speed

    and or

Which will give best handling .......or both

    Cheers.

I'm in the UK, so need to get it right first time as it's gonna be expensive

I have just ordered a new stock ride plate for my FXSHO from GreenHulk store and having it sent to Jim's performance for the mod to be done this is what Jerry advised me to do as I did not won't to compromise handling over speed.so the best plate to mod would be your stock plate.I had the same problem as you as I live in Australia so the price is a lot so the choice had to been done right the first time,Jerry was a great help in advising me which one to get for my needs, cant wait for it to arrive.

    cheers

Hello wakeboard, The plate that riva sells right now is the R&D SHO plate the riva one is not out yet. The R&D plate is a very fast plate once modded but it does not handle even close to a stock plate that is modded. The stock plate mod gives you very good speed and very good handling. I run my stock plate mod on my SHO with Leo's SHO wedge and i love it. You can go through my history and see a video we did with my SHO and you can see how well it handles in the rough, Hope this helps you. Thank you, Jim

Rod i cant recall who i got mine from jim might tell you...

the cut stock plate cuts well in our waters, i did the IOW trip with the solant boyz and the plate held the line perfect all the way round,i was worried at the time thinking i might be better off running stocker but no way, modded all the way in the chop....you really do get the brst of both worlds with this plate
