RE block offs prevent porpoising somewhere around 75 MPH, and improve overall handling.

If you have a stock ski, and plan on leaving it that way, I doubt you will see any difference with them off or on.

From reading and my personal experience, the cheap ones are exactly that...cheap. I have the cheap ones. They don't leak or anything, but they don't fill the void in the hull. The better ones help reduce porposing, especially at higher speeds (75+), and this is achieved by actually filling the void. I regret buying the cheaper ones, and next time I will buy the expensive ones. If you are going to remain relatively stock, it won't be a huge issue, but you will still regret the lack of handling they give.

I suggest the RE's. I had the riva's also & removed them. The RE's give the ski a nice clean look.

I have the Rivas and my homie has the REs. The REs have a nice powder coat finish that looks SWEET. Mine have faded, and really stand out. The RE's come flush with the hull opening, where as the rivas leave about 1.5 inches (as shown in your picture above). If you are spending the money, the REs are worth the few extra $$.
