Anyone Got a Stock 780 Wedge Lying Around the could Measure For Me???

    Guys

Ive found a wedge from a MSX140 that the seller states is modified, it does look to me made of billit i would say it looks standard polaris stock gear

They have measured the thickist point to be 21mm and the thinist point to be 4mm

I dont wanna strip down my pump housing to check the stock measurements of the 4degree wedge and wondered if anyone could help??

The reason im looking to getting a bigger wedge is when ridding on the sea im finding the pump to be close to the surface and i feel it being in the water mode would give me better performance and steering

    Thanks
    Neil

I have mine out right now Neil but I have to find a measuring instrument that is metric so I can confirm it for you. I will check back.

Okay then. The top-side measures 3/4" or .750 at it's widest and the low-side measures at 1/4" or .250 at the thin side of the taper.

    So 0.750=19.05mm, 0.250= 6.35mm

    Cheers dude

Is that how you had yours installed?

The thick part goes on the bottom.

No. I explained it in reverse. The thickest side was on the bottom on the ski. I meant to say the thickest side of the taper was.750 and thin side was .250 but I typed it that way because of the way I was holding it in my hand when I measured it. I actually drew arrows on mine with a sharpe pen before I took it off so I would make sure I installed it correctly when I rebuilt my pump. I am having a bad week.
