    Engine Temperature/RXT

On a RXT with the closed loop system is the engine temperatures fluctuation still due to lake water being used to cool the Intercooler and the exhaust manifold and ride plate.
Last years engine temps were a consistent 69F.......this year it has been 62F.......just want to make sure it's normal.......thanks for the info......

E temp on the dash is the temperature of the air outside, not the engine temperature. The closed loop system is self regulating and will stay around 180 degrees on a stock machine.

My RXT-X shows engine temp at 190* or so if I remember right. 2010 lets you set it so you can see it on the gauge

Like JFizzle said, the 69 and 62 you are seeing is the water temp you are riding in, not the engine water temp.
