RXP Knock sensor question/ Low RPMs. Please help!

I am having issues with my '04 RXP that I bought used with 120 hours. Here's a brief history of what has been going on with this thing:

Last year I had a knock sensor fault. I replaced sensor and the problem went away. Max RPM was approx 7800. Suspected that supercharger was slipping. I rode ski for a few more weeks and then put it away for the year because I keep it in WA for when I am there on vacation.

This year I took ski into shop to have supercharger checked before putting it in the water. It failed test so I had them rebuild it. When I got it in the water I immediately got the P0326 (knock sensor) fault again. After a Google search I found out about the knock sensor recall which this ski had done. When I bypass the knock sensor adapter the fault goes away but I only get about 7300 RPM. I use premium gas.

I doubt I have a bad knock sensor so what else could cause this fault? Does the knock sensor recall involve a change to the ECM? Is the low RPM I have now caused by the missing knock sensor adapter harness? Somebody please enlighten me on what is probably going on because the dealer here doesn't seem to have a clue.

    Thanks in advance!

Take a look to see if you have the wiring harness update. http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...tting-7600-rpm

Yes, the ski had the wiring harness update which I tried to explain in my original post. After further investigation I found out that my "pigtail" is bad. The blue wire reads completely open on a multi-meter. I changed it out with a new pigtail today and the ski runs at about 7850 without a check engine light. This is still not the 8100 or so that I am supposed to see but that could be due to the impeller the previous owner installed or something. Anyway, this pigtail harness seems like a strange thing to have go bad and I'm curious if anyone has ever seen this happen before.

You may need a new wear ring around your prop, or de-pitch your prop some
