Picked up an 05' GP1300R tonight!! super stoked....

Well, title says it all. I have my XLT just finished up here waiting on a couple springs and bearings for the handle bars and picked up a gp1300r tonight with a riva stage one package on it. Has 55 hours on it... runs well and strong, gonna put the tiny tach and island racing hole shot kit on it that i was going to put into my xlt.... gps and tach numbers to come in about a week!!

thanks!!! ski is clean however it needs a few little patches of marine tex on the hull and new numbers on the side! jsut got them at west marine and will beautify tonight! Also i never knew how tight the inside was.... I will have many stupid questions to come. i feel like i can swim inside the engine compartment of my xlt1200 in comparison to the 1300!

    Goals:
Holeshot to keep up with or at least match the rxp's
72-73mph gps (im a fat ass this will be hard diet is under way)

    Plans!!!
    Dye seat black - Done
    Plugs, filter, grease! - Done
Fill minor dings on hull - Done
replace a few decals and buff some scufs out - Done
put fire to rub rails and clean them up - Done
    Re enforce tunnel
    Install Tiny Tach - have
Install island racing hole shot kit - have
Get and install Leos Holeshot - will have next month
Send plate and head to jim maybe for some tweaking!

    Compression was about 123, 122-123, 119

Considering my XLT is down and I have been hunting down GPR's with all of my free time, let me be the first person to say I hate you. haha, I like that color combo, haven't seen alot of them. Congrats.

Ha! your going to have do more than leo's and island racing holeshot to catch the xp,both mods are great, improves take off,I have both like many others here.Compression sounds good, a little low 125-135 stock is normal. Possible air leak guage , proper testing proceedure?Increase compression and torque, uppitch the prop and get that custom modified rideplate, plus a few more bolt ons, then you can get out of his rear view mirror.Everything to upgrade that yr GPR is right here on GH with great advice from the top tuners on 2- strokes, so search on......

I should have mentioned that the plans were not to meet the goals right now! Those are just the plans before the end of the season! Next year and over the winter I'll do much more research into getting along with the rxp's and other skis. I honestly think i have a ton to gain with whats on the ski right now. The mods were dealer installed and he said they were done with the entire kit in a few hours over an afternoon so I know they didnt test anything on it at all. Rides great but i will for sure be looking and reading about how to tune these on here! Once again tho I have a giant fat ass to hold me back lets see how this goes!
