    Sucked rocks into pump

I have a question for you experienced riders? I damaged one of the fins inside the pump support will that greatly affect my performance on my ski? Of course I wiped out my impeller.

I did the same thing as you did. But The guy riding my ski took out almost all of the "shark fins" on the pump support.

If you damaged only a few of the shark fins, then leave them alone after you file them as smooth as you can, get the rough edges out.

If you damaged several of them, file them completely off. The RXT does not have these fins, only the RXP.

I noticed no difference with them or without them

    Tceh,

Did the same thing, If you damaged any of them then grind them ALL out.
The ski will cavitate on acceleration with them being broken. It will not hurt the performance as jeff said.Dont know why the RXP is the only ski out there with them in but it doesnt hurt to take them(all)out if they are already broken..You will probley need a new wear ring also if you tore
up the prop..they are about 50-60 bucks..also check the stator vains make sure you didnt mess any of them up also..Good Luck

A dremel tool works well for grinding them out .Take your time so you dont grind through the pump shoe..

FYI I sucked a rock up my blaster pump took out part of a stator vane , turns out the prop was bent too !! so i would check the trailing edge of the prop where it jams the rock against the vanes !!! a bent prop will cavitate !!!
