Les Cooke 9000 ECU
I recently purchased a used Les Cooke 9000 ECU which I am going to run on a turbo that is in the works.
My questions are:
Does anyone know the timing on these ECU's?
Does anyone know what boost these are
Set up for? It came with 75 lb injectors.
Am I going to run into any issues boosting over 20 or so lbs? (assuming that my manifold is upgraded)

You need a Less Cooke Turbo Map or Riva ECU The Les S/C Map it's to lean for Turbo and the ign.timing are different.

How do I know what tune I have etc? Would I have to send it to Les? Am I better off just selling it and buying one with a turbo map?

These ECU's are a bit hit and miss with the timing??
How does Les know what timing you should be running?
Luis what kind of timing are you running around the 20 psi mark at 9k?

send the ECU back to Les for the turbo reflash.

Rick, have you seen or heard of anyone running over 20 lbs of booston these ecus?
How much does les charge for a reflash? If it is what I'm thinking..about $750 plus the shipping and wait I was thinkng of just selling it and trying out another ECU.

Yeah mate i know someone that is boosting 21 psi on a les comp and hes going over 90.
So it can be done.
But dont think your fueling will be spot on.
You will still need bigger injectors than what the map is speced for and you will prob need a fuel controller as well.
But is still think the timing setup is like a lucky dip.
You will never really know what you are going to get or how your engine will respond to it.
Man $750 is alot of money for pressing a few buttons and a basic reflash.

Yeah, I guess I'll just try it out and see what happens. Just hoping it doesn't have too much timing.
If anyone knows more or less how much timing their tunes have I would really appreciate it.

I have Run 25 Psi on Pump gas with water Mathanol injection with Les Turbo map ,No problems.
I don't know the ign. timing it has but it works. All the fuel map works for me up to 25psi with the Begi set up.
