    First Stupid Question. Hour Meter.

Just picked up an '01 GP1200R tonight... With a hurting motor.

(Expect help me diagnostic pix later.)

Is there a way to get the hour meter to show without the engine running?

    Thank you,

    Jay

On Mine the engine has to crack over 2 times, not run, then it will come up.

If you can't get it to crank over, you can power on the gauge cluster manually by disconnecting the 6-pin connector and
hooking up the red wire to positive, black to ground and giving the green wire a few quick taps on positive to simulate an
    RPM signal.

    Thank you for the replies...

I did get it to crank over enough. 132.5 was the answer!
