    riva power filter flame arrestor 05 gp1300r

    Bought a riva power filter flame arrestor it came with a pre filter to put over the flame arrestor should I use this or leave it off?

    The power filter is 'ok' not as good as the race filter. If you ride in the ocean, heavy surf, etc.... you might keep your stock filter on. The power filter will give a little performance but not alot.

    no ocean here and no heavy surf im in ohio lol my question is that this filter came with what they call a pre filter its a blue cover that you put over the filter its supposed to be i guess a water replant type thing.

    The water sock is 'supposed' to keep water out but none of them help that much but they will take away some rpm. i would run it anyway.
