Impact Driver for stator screws
Just wanted to share some good info.. I went to harbor freight and bought a 2.99(on sale) impact driver to get my stator screws out. We all know how hard it is to remove them without buggering the phillips head on them.
The driver worked like a charm! 1 or 2 hits with a 3 lb hammer is all you need to loosen the screws. it will even reach down to the other 2 small screws that hold the wires into the cases! worked great. I would reccomend buying one of these. the screws are perfect too after I used the tool. Great addition to the polaris enthusisists' tool box.. This will save you a big headache.
1 more tip.. you can move the driver back n forth for both in and reverse on the screws too. so test it out first and see which way it is set.
It worked well on my long block sitting here, now I can get the other stator off the Pro and get this baby running! The right tool for the job is a must!.

I use the same one for carburetor screw removal because once they're stripped it's a bitch.
