    Unstable/wobbeling RXT? Plz Help!

Hi. Iv'e got some issues with an unstable RXT -06

At 20 - 25 knots it "wobbles" from side to side?
The steering is tight ( between the handlebar and the steer-nozzle) so i doubt thats the problem? What function does the "wings" on each side of the rear have? The one's who follow the steering? It's really unpleasant riding the machine cus it feels unsteady..

    best regards

They are to help you still have some control over the ski when you are off-throttle. Our RXT had this instability, its due to those wings moving up and down (they are designed to lift up out the way at speed).

Its solved by wedging the fins permanently up with some pipe and zip-ties

    You need these:
    http://www.4-tecperformance.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_ id=440

    Riva's OPAS Competition kit.

Those "wings" are Off Powered Assist Steering OPAS, helps steer ski as slow speeds and raise UP when above about 4000 rpm. They are like training wheels, and cause handling issues all the time. You can replace them with RE block offs also or Riva's blockoffs. Do search and you'll find all kinds of info.

You can make your own "block-ups".

4" length of pvc pipe. Cut in half so that you have two 2" long pieces. Split the 2" pipes length wise...so that when you're finished you and make a "c" shaped piece.

I cut small wedges at the top and bottom of the split. This enables you to force them around the piston. Once it snaps into place...it'll hold your opas paddle in the up position at all times. for good measure I used a coupla zip ties to ensure they wouldn't...pop off at some point.
