If the water and air temp is hot that's about right...

7800-7840, bout normal for 97-100 degree air temp, water 89-90 where I live. Early in the spring and late summer early fall I usually see 8020-8040 on my PX. I wouldnt think the charger would be slipping at 30 hrs, but depends on how hard it was ridden, you did say you just bought right? Check the oil level, if its overfilled you will loose RPMs. Check all the clamps on the hoses leading to and from the intercooler for leaks....

Id say your about right. With the R&D grate, Riva FF, and a 4 inch intake im turning 8140 in the heat. I dont have any GPS numbers but for being the middle summer id say you are right where you should be. Did you get the regular R&D or the Closed course one? If you got the regular one you would pick up 1-2 mph but with the CC one I wouldnt expect much of a gain at all.

water temperature plays the biggest role. i was running over 70 all day with the temp around 90-91. went further back on the river where the temp was 94 and couldnt break 70 even in smoother conditions. outside temp was 97. was only turning 7860 rpms.

my ski ran 72.2 with just an R&D grate in hot air and water at around 8000 rpms in slightly cooler conditions.

Where are you running the trim at, also. The trim setting makes a big difference in top speed. Heat is also a big factor. Every stock PX I have ridden did 69+ all stock, with a R&D grate 72.5+. Sweet spot, stock ski with just R&D grate is trim two up from neutral for me anyway.
