Yesterday, I was out on the water on my stock 1996 seadoo HX when I heard a grinding sound & then pieces of metal hitting the inside of the hull. After being towed in by a good soul, I opened the hood & saw pieces of metal in the hull. I removed the PTO cover & discovered the PTO coupler & driveshaft contact points in pieces. The front driveshaft just laying there. Has anyone had to replace the front driveshaft before? I'm guessing I have to pull the engine, replace the pto, drive shaft & couplers. Any other information on this repair wound be gratly appreciated. Thx.
