    Trim on an SLT750

Does putting trim on an SLT750 help it out at all? Or do you guys just leave it off?

The SLT 750 (3-seater) doesn't have trim, because it has reverse. The SL 750 (2 seater) has trim, because it does NOT have reverse.

As I understand it, it's one or the other because of the way they attach to the jet pump nozzle.

Ph20craft, then Beerdart, and myself have adapted trim to the SLT.

Do you have instructions on how to do it? Or do I need to just copy how it is done on my SL750?

Instructions????? We don't need no stinking instructions.......

You cannot use the SL 750 as a template either. The motor sits dead center on the jet.

Guess where the reverse cable comes through the SLT's hull?

You need to offset the motor and carefully relocate it. You don't want to ruin your hull because there's not alot of room for error.

Sounds like a good project for this winter. Right now I am focused on finding a piston and getting the rings and gaskets for it so I can get it back in the water. Sounds like I need to start a thread in the projects section. Talked hubby into putting a 780 carb on it this winter as well. I know we will need help with that.
