    RXP-X high elevation prop

What prop would be best at 7300 ft for a bone stock RXP-X? I currently see about 7100 RPM at WOT.

    Thanks

The only help I can offer is that I ride at 6300 ft and have a stage 2 RXP 215hp. I have a skat trak 3 blade 13/17 pitch installed. It performs as if its at sea level. I may be 50 to 80 rpms short, but it does the trick. ANYTHING is better than my 7200 rpm I was putting out before.

    Good Luck.

Yep 7100 at Granite Res WY. No mods at all, 100% stock with 9 hours on it. Elevation kills these things apparently. My buddy has a brand new SHO and can only hit 6500 rpm and 60-62 MPH (speedo).

I do high altitude riding too, but no quite as high as you are. The "high altitude" sea-doo prop was right on RPM wise, but if the dealer didn't already install it, I wouldn't bother. I found that going down one step for the mods that I have worked for me on my RXP. For example with my setup people would typically tell you to run a 15/20. But 14/19 was just right at higher altitude. My RXPX hasn't had the prop changed, but the math should still work.

First thing I would do, is get rid of that restrictive stock air intake and install a 4" kanaflex set up - let it breath!!
Next PM "SKOEPP" he is at 3000+ and get his input!

I know this is a prop question, but.... Why not put a big boost SCer on it to make up for high altitude/thin air operation.

I would buy a 15/20 or 15/22 then start bending it to suit your elevation. You want find a prop out of the box that will perform to your needs.

Elevation and heat does numbers on power. This past weekend my RAD was 6,200 ft. but i still pulled her to 8,400 rpm.

It takes a well tunned prop and time to try to beat mother nature.
