    Finally Bought A GP1200r

It is a 2001 had 68hrs on it and i paid $2800 for it. Not to bad i dont think. Had it for about 2 weeks and have already put 10hrs on it. Fastest that the speedo has said it was going was 68. The only things that i need to do to it are to have the seat recovered and replace the mats or whatever they are called. I am thinking about putting the royal marble hydro turf on it. And about how much will it cost to get the seat recovered?

    I dislike you.

Haha, just kidding man! That's an awesome deal! I've been eye balling the Mline seat covers on eBay. They look pretty slick.

Thats a smokin deal! Congrats on the purchase! As for the seat cover, here's a link to a sticky describing how to recover your seat yourself: http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...own-seat-cover

If you're not comfortable with that, just take the seat to an upholstery shop and get a quote.

You've got some options for different seat covers with hydroturf and jettrim, A lot of people like the jettrim seats and I think they look really good when color matched to your ski. Good luck with the new gpr.

    Looking good.
My all time favorite ski was my 01 1200r. I can kick myself in the ass for selling it. Ski was a rocket and would run 73 any day of the week.

A heat gun if you have one. A hair dryer will work fine too.

congrats on the new ski, i have one myself and love it dearly.

i have an mline seat cover on mine and its flawless, cost 100-150 off ebay i think and 50 to fit it up the road.

the mats are painful to get off but well worth the effort, just be patient.

    good luck and be safe.
