Make your own free flow exhaust mod?

I have seen the Riva free flow exhaust pipe on flea bay for $50 just curious if you can just get a pipe from Home Depot and do the same thing? Has anyone tried it? Found this on PWCTODAY but not sure I wanna try it.
I picked up some 3.5" OD Black Schedual 40 PVC pipe from Home Depot

I've seen a few posted here on GH for the GPR.My worry is can it handle the exhaust heat and hot water over time.Besides the Riva FF fit from the waterbox to the tailpiece is snug perfect, never heard of one failing unless the clamp was'nt tighten. (I double clamp). This is a mod you can't see all the time as its under the seat,if the home depot hose or pipe fails it might be too late to notice.......

IF I could use the search function that would work. This new format will not let me search and I can't update my browser.

    Thumbs up

Here are some pics of the free flow that I made for my GPR out of PVC pipe and double clamped. I have put 80 hours on it, perfect, no problems at all.

I used some scrap 3.5" exhast pipe from my work and just followed Rivas instructions on thier site. works like a champ. By the way, anyone local to me, I have more of this ipe and would be more than willing to give some to someone wanting a FREE freeflow. I think I have enough for one kit but may come accross more.

been rockin PVC for over a year now with my ported ski, no problems. As always you should inspect your ski fully every 10-15 hours if its modded, and a quick look over of the grate, steering, efi controllers and jetworks valves before every ride.
