    swapping carbs 750 to 780 sl

    just wondering if it worth putting 780 carbs and reeds on a 750 engine

    Reeds are the same as your 750. (reed spacers are another story)


    The carbs aren't a performance upgrade, just a better design.

    But to make them work properly, you will want the 780 intake manifold and throttle cable since the carbs are spun 180* VS. the ones you have now.

    unless you pre mix you will need a different oil pump rod also

    If the 750 is a '94 or older there is no need to worry about the oil pump rod. It wasn't until '95 that the oil pumps were variable ratio. But P-Nut is right, you will need the 780 oil pump linkage rod if you go to 780 carbs and the ski has a variable oil pump.

    basically nothing, They say you won't go lean on a hard left hand turn and that was the reason behind spinning the rack 180. you could turn a 750 rack if you used a 780 intake.
