    Need input on map

    Well, I was going to PM this to someone but I cannot attach a log file or any file anymore (it appears).

    So posting here. Engine is runnign but horrible. timing is correct.


    Hopefully we will see a ld file attached...

    Yes I did sell it . The stock ecu will do me no good with what I have installed.

    Hi Biz,

    The log file downloaded fine.

    Motec Pete and Desperate and others will be your men but until they chime in (wake up), some questions about your log file.

    Was this 42 second test done in the water or sitting in the workshop?

    What is the motor doing?

    Have you calibrated the throttle position sensor yet? Not that important but something you can put a tick in the box.

    It was in the shop and not on water for that log. It is stumbling and hard to idle at all without providing additional throttle. TB was caliibrated.

    Stock injectors, stock cams, Riva E1 S/C Wheel, Riva Power Cooler. Nothing special at the moment.

    Your MAP sensor value at idle suggests something is wrong. Your log shows nearly 60kpa at idle which is too high. Normal value is around 40kpa at idle. This could be caused by a a leak in the intake circuit (between the TB and the cylinder head), a bad MAP sensor or an aftermarket MAP sensor not properly configured in your Motec ECU. Your overall MoTeC calibration file is fine as it is identical in every way to the one available for download on the MoTeC website. Comments assume cam timing is properly set and even compression on all cylinders.

    I'll check the intake tomorrow and the stock MAP.
    This is not rocket science yet I seem to continue to blow up the rocket on launch like NASA did years ago...
