    rxp rpm's

I have never seen 8000 rpm's on my ski 7800 7850 but that is it. If that is a problem what do i need to do or check.

also i just prchaced the 05 rxp brand new 1 month ago. it has 19 hours on it and the ceramic washer in the supercharger has already gone out is this common. Is there a way to insure this will not happen again.

Finally this is a great forums page all you guys seem great. i would very much appreciate any of your input.

My SC clutch went out after 6 hours...they have SC booster kits that they are now installing to replace the ceramic washers...a stronger, more durable washer from what my dealer told me.

booster kit?? haha ok I hear it is a THICKER Washer that is it! Also i would not see why they cannt recall the sc. Because I know my 4 year warrenty will cover my sc failure.

They won't recall the sc. There are actually very few clutch failures. We only hear of the ones that fail.
My friend Greg Eaton (watermedic) has 160 hours on his original stock clutch with no issues.

Are you riding in extreme heat and humidity? What altitude are you riding at? Any of these can effect your rpm's. I rarely hit 8000 above 95 degrees or so,but below 90 I hit 8100 consistently.

7850 RPM's is good for a stock ski in this summer heat.

Thanks for all the info. Pretty much everytime I have ridden it has been at least 95. I live in south louisiana. Humidity always. This is my first 4 tech and I don't know all that much about them yet. This site is really helping.
