What will it take to get to 80 with the FZS....

My goal is 80 in 95 degree temps. What do I need to get there?

I have an air filter, ribbion delete, vx plate (no shimming), and reflash R2 on the way to R+D right now....

    This is an 09 FZS.....

Currently running 72.6 with borrowed R2 at 7960 on stock prop....

You can do 90 with that setup.

I think you can get to 80 with that setup. The R2 and the right prop. But your going to need some more cooling as you push the RPM's north of 8,000.

Interesting post Carlos. This is the first I've read of an RPM where additional cooling is needed. Now with the R2 and 8400 RPM, maybe it's time to open my R & D cooling kit back up.

I was thinking I would need a bigger supercharger wheel to there. You thing it can be done without the wheel????

I'd go with a C3 wheel. No chance of 80 in 95 deg heat with stock wheel. I installed a Riva cooling kit on a E1/R2 ski and I am shocked how little the RPM's have dropped with the summer heat. I've heard similar results on B1/R2 ski.

I change Stock IC to FrozenBoost IC ,
gain noticable accelation/top speed increese ,

i found that FB IC has better air and wator flow than stock IC .

I'm got 76MPH so far with current setup,
wait for VX plate and R2 reflash. might go behond 80+.

Riva cooler. Yes using a PS with the wheel, however this was a B1 wheel. The C3 out performs the B1 though.

With the E1/R2 went from 8600 RPM in 65 deg air, no humidity, 65 deg water to 8450 in 100 deg 90% humidity and 85+ deg water. This is running stock nozzle. 85mm would get the R's back up and speed with much better midrange. These motors produce alot of heat running 16-17 psi and 8500+ rpm so pretty impressive to me.
