Nav Lighting - GPR
I purchased a set of navigation lights recently and wanted to install them on my GPR. I don't plan on riding at night, however here in Canada the law states that any watercraft that will be operating an hour before sunrise and an hour before sunset must have proper navigation lights installed, so I'd like to spend the 40$ or so it costs for the lights instead of whatever ridiculous amount they charge you if they give you a ticket.
I already have a good idea where I'll be mounting the lights, and I plan on running the circuit directly from the battery with an all weather fuse just to be safe.
A few things still are in question.
1. Should I purchased proper marine wire or will regular 18 awg wire be sufficient ?
2. I'd like to have some sort of weatherproof junction box and run wire from that to the lights, but I'm not exactly sure if that will work, because it will then be in parallel.
Here is a quick wiring diagram I drew up, let me know if its right or wrong, thanks.

fuse it and use normal wire.... mine are that way on my xlt and i may do it to my gpr as well! At west marine they have some good options for hidden light systems when not in those hours so that you don't have giant lights all over!
