What is everyone using to remove the old mat glue residue?

Want to install Hydro-Turf mats on the 2005 RXT. What is everyone using to remove the old glue? I heard 100% acetone is what some are using. Does that dull or fade the gelcoat?

How is the pre-stick 3M film that comes on the Hydro-Turf mats? Are people having good results with it?

    You can try acetone
I put the 3m backed in my boat(03 sportser), alot easier I think, just make sure you use the acetone to wipe of any oil or wax before you stick it down, I baught a small laminate roller from Home Depot to push it down

+1 Bought some matting from Blacktide with the adhesive on it. Soooo easy to install. Prep the surface... let the ski sit in the sun for a bit...lay it down...go riding!

Does putting some heat to them help them come off cleaner like the stickers?

You all may already be aware, but at work if we need to remove tough shmagma from anything you cant go wrong with Butanone, also known as methyl ethyl ketone or MEK. it's the only thing that will remove Proseal from your fingers while still wet of course. Sounds like you shouldn't have a problem with off the shelf stuff though.
