    Two skis, no start

97 GP760 and 98 XL1200 have been sitting for four weeks since last ride, both ran fine.
Today neither would start. Ran batteries down jumped from truck. Have good compression, replaced plugs.
Old plugs were wet with fuel. Found Oside Bill's post about removing return to tank fuel line, unboot plugs and press start button
Until fuel comes out. Did that fine
but still put in new OEM fuel filter, No luck. Then saw post that someone dropped fuel directly in cylinder. Did that in one cylinder
On 1200 and it finally started. Ran on hose for ten minutes ok. Started up fine anytime I tried the next hour. Now I'm at lake after 2.5 hour
Drive. Hope the 1200 will start tomorrow morning. I guess I'll dump some fuel in 760 cylinders and hope it starts too.
Other than "ride more often", what can I do to avoid this next time?
    Thanks for any help.

Update: dropped a bit of fuel into #1 cylinder on GP760 and it fired right up as well.
Primer kits will be ordered. Thanks Smitty.

I am not buying. You shouldnt need a primer kit if your ski is running right.

Primer will simply help prime the fuel system since it's gravity fighitng the fuel...when not running you have to in a sense refill the lines. Artificialreef...these save your starters and if you've never owned a GP ....you have no clue about the dire need for a primer!

search "Dual mikuni primer kit". Something like that should work for your GP760

    Ok I found them:

I'm just trying to find out how technical the installation, does anyone have pictures of them installed inside the carb?

Just order from cape fear they processed and shipped it within 12 hours of ordering. Talk about fast! We will see what the primer kit looks like on arrival, but so far they've been great1
