Finger or thumb
I'd like to hear from those who have replaced their stock thumb throttle for the finger tip one.
I'm not looking for racing but more for comfort while riding.
Sorry if I would of spelled throttle right my search would of found answers.
I guess having the stock cover not fit is the biggest problem.

I rode a buddies ski (12f) that has a stock finger throttle, and frankly I did not like it for just cruising. Finger got tired. If you were standing up all the time, I would say get the finger.
Thumb is easier for me for long runs while sitting

I find that I have better control over the throttle with thumb during acceleration because the force is not pulling your finger back on the throttle.

I will never go back to thumb again, owned 3 thumb and sure they were fine but you tend to get fatigue faster.
finger throttle is the first mod i would do on my next purchase.
I like the control of finger over wave jumping better also.
sometimes its just a matter of preferance, but once you go to finger you dont want to go back to thumb.
and extended bars sure help also.

I just had the finger throttle installed and I like the way it is set up now. My thumb does not hurt anymore.

Its a matter of personal preference. I like thumb for the following reasons:
1. My finger/s get tired on long rides with finger throttle
2. With thumb, you have all four fingers wrapped around the handle so you hang on better.
3. In a panic situation your going to go to WOT with a finger throttle because the instinct response when you loose control is to grab on and that means WOT with finger throttle.
Try this, hold a brrom hadle with only your thumb and last two fingers (ring and pinky) and try to hold on as someone pulls on the broom, now repeat with just 4 fingers around the broom. You can hold a lot better with the 4 fingers
I have both finger and thumb on my skis, I like the thumb/palm system on the RXP. Its not a true thumb throttle like older skis.

Finger throttle all the way. You can help out your thumb or finger from getting tired if you put a softer spring on your carb. Not sure about throttle bodies. This one is from Hot Products. We use to cut them in the past.
