Don't think dryer hose is advisable bro. Kanaflex is not expensive.

There is some cheap hose in skis for sure ... but it is usually just hull vent hose. The SC generates so much vacuum in the intake that it will collapse any cheap hose, thats why eventually everyone went to Kanaflex or rear air setups ... the cheaper hoses are not stiff enough and will collapse.

im not going to swear by it but used the above product at work on a project with a 450HP Detroit TC Diesel where i had to convert the air intake filter from oil filtration to K and N Air and used the piping to route the K and N filters into the air cans. Now this engine only maxes at about 3000rpms and prolly 10psi boost, but no problems after 1 hour runtime.

the hose in that link is super expensive! i need 8 feet.

    is that the kanaflex?

the hose that comes with the yamaha skis is cheap and doesnt collapse. i really dont think a 10 psi sc would suck in a 4'' hose with metal wire in it

ID:	207798 I know people here are probably running 20+ lbs boost through kanaflex. My setup is 15+ and holding strong!
