Another question on bilge pumps!
Ok ok I think from reading the reams of posts that the rule is the best to go for. Im looking at sorting 2 500gph rule mates but for now as I am on a budget I will set one up put probably plumb for 2 using 2outlets and a 'T' Piece for now.
The idea is to have one either side of the pump tunnel eventually on the flat areas infront of the bungs, I have a riva rear exit so should fit nice.
The questions I need help answering is....
1. will one surfice for now?
2. how do you attach them to the hull? glue I presume?
3. when wiring should I run permanent live from battery or maybe utilize the ignition live and earth from the vts motor for example?
4. where did u drill the holes?
i think thats it...?

a lot people run one 500, should be fine but not a bad idea to add one more later.
Use 3M 5200 to secure it, let it set good.
Put the outlets above the waterline or put a loop or check valve in the hose or water will come in.
I ran a wire from the Battery to a fuse to a switch to the pump.

they sell them without any... so one is better ..2 is even better incase one fails.. ..i dont store mine in the water..so my power comes from switched power...that way if i bump the switch it doenst kill my battery ...that is a prefeance...

For switching on and off my bilge pump (500 gph) ..I use a push /pull switch in the "glove box" of my GTX. Push in ..OFF... Pull out..ON.
Works Gr8. Don't have to worry about activating switch when putting something in the box.
Fused to the battery..pump right under SC.

good advice guys, was looking at having the outlet over the rear carpet so it shoots over the transom area then I can see it.
lets talk wire, is automotive wire ok? I use ski in the sea most of the time. And the switch, doesnt rule make a nice plate looking thing?

yes rule does make a plate it is like 30 to 35 us dollars...you can get a generic boat switch for 5..wire is wire..you just need to heat shrink everything well. i sauder all connections..then use liquid tape ..then heat shrink that...
