    Unhappy Blaster Pump Housing

The pump housing on my 94 Blaster is swelled and I need to replace it, should I use a OEM used one I have or is there a better one out there?

I tried to search the forums but didn't find much (or didn't do it right)

    Thanks

Did you try atlantic jet sports? THey had the replaceable plastic wear rings and housings available for alot of the yamis last time I checked. Try there!

2 of mine are still on the stock one, and the other was replaced just before I bought it. I have no idea what kind was put in, but I think Island Racing did it.

Sorry I can't help you any more

I think a good used OEM one, from a fresh water ski would be best (and fairly cheap compared to a new one). They seem to last nearly 15 years in the salt water, so unless you think you're really going to have the ski in another 15 years, the stock one is great. Some say the plastic ones need the ring replaced as much as yearly due to wear from sand and such. I picked up a whole pump section, from shoe to outlet for less than the price of a new wear ring for my 95 Venture. It was from a fresh water ski and was in fantastic condition compared to what was on there. I'm sure someone can hook you up here!

Well I cannot say for sure, but I picked up 2 this year and they both needed the wear rings and impeller housings replaced. Note that these has also been "docked" at one point (judging by the amount of barnacles on the bottom of the hull). Of course I do not really know if any of that had been replaced before, but from the looks of it, I doubt it. And as of this year they are 15 years old.
