    GPS versus speedo

Finally bought a used Garmin eTrex and checked max speed yesterday on my GP760 (stock except for Ocean Pro ride plate and R&D intake). What showed as 57 mph on speedo turned out to be 49.8 on GPS. Now I know why they call them "dreamometers".

Yup. I used to have a 2000 GPR stage I that would GPS @ 68mph. The dreamo would read 87.

I saw a GP1300R on Craigslist that the seller claimed would go 85-90 mph. If he only relied on speedo maybe he wasn't knowingly lying.
