Thread: swamped ski

My son rolled my brothers 2000 GTX ME and it was filled with water. We had to go out looking for him. It was towed back by another ski. We got it out of the water and drained the hull, Pulled the plugs and cranked it over. It was full of water. We did not get it restarted. So we fogged the engine for the night and the next day he got it restarted, but it's shaking like crazy. It shakes the whole trailer and will only idle. You can't rev it or it will stall. What would cause the shaking?

prob still has a little bit of water in it. It will shake and run like crap till all the moister is out. I had this happen on a Polaris and it shook for about 10 minutes and then cleared and was fine. Just my thoughts.

I hope your right. My brother was so worried it's messed up that he took it to the dealer.

It does happen, my wife flipped her 07 RXT. She was on the crest of a 8' wave that was breaking on molasses reef. Twenty knot winds weren't helping. Luckily it went over so fast no water went into the hull. I turned it over and it was still dry inside, and she was okay.

yes but there is a big difference between the open ocean and river raiding...
