    polaris slx780 driveshaft question

i did a search and didn't find what i need so i have to ask. my 1995 polaris slx 780 driveshaft has a worn spot in it from the previous owner not greasing it and it need so be replaced. my question is : is it the same as a 650 or 750 driveshaft. i plan to get one off ebay and there are a few more 650 and 750s out there. thanks in advance

I think that is 20 3/8". I just got rid of one. Try this guy here. He may still have his to sell you.

A 750 has a short jet pump with a 20 3/8" while the SLX has a long jet pump and 24 3/8" DS.

You can cut your rubber coupler a little bit to relocate the thru hull seal on a different part of the DS. Just a tip.

Ahh. Then his has the same size shaft as mine does. That link I gave him is for a part-out of the exact same machine so maybe he will get lucky.

thats a good idea. thanks. i knew the plate and jet were longer on a 780 but i wasn't sure if the shaft was too. i guesed it was but i wanted to make sure. i'll shorten the coupler to get by untill i can get a different shaft and seals. thanks guys

Hi everyone. I am new to the site and had a similar drive shaft question. I have a 96 slx780 and am having a terrible time finding a drive shaft. I need the 24 3/8" one. My question is will the slx 1050 drive shaft fit? Thanks for the help.
