Where to mount stock temp sensor on a turbo?

Hey all, I am not too sure where to mount the stock temp sensor on my turbo setup. I was thinking that it should go after the Exhaust manifold? If so is there any distance specifically where it should go so it doesn't sense too much heat?

The turbo will be completely waterjacketed including the mid pipe, exhaust manifold and pipe going to the exit.

    Thanks.

That temp sensor is there ONLY to make sure you still have water going in the exhaust. If the stock ski loses water in the exhaust, it will melt the hoses and waterbox, which will then sink the ski. The high temp alarm is WAY lower than what you would consider typical EGT's. That said, it should be mounted in the exhaust somewhere downstream of the water injection location. If you put it upstream of the turbo, or upstream of the water injection, it will stay in alarm.

Mike, so would you say it can be mounted in the rear almost at the exit where water will be flowing out? Or should I mount it on one of the jackets?

    Thanks

You have to mount it where the sensor is exposed to wetted exhaust. If you put it in a water jacket, it kinda defeats the purpose because it won't see exhaust. It's there just to ensure the exhaust has cooling water injected.

i kinda like having it ..because it the exhaust gets to hot due to lack of water flow...the engine temp isnt far behind....kinda feel it is a good warning..thinking in the down tube with a sprayer shooting on it..
