No real performance difference. More noise at certain RPM ranges.

If you are looking for more power, that isn't the place.

not looking for speed just when I had the huge backfire it blew it apart and blew all the foam apart
noise does not bother me so just looking to save some dollars and bypass it. my 99 does not have it but it has dual exits.

The 1999 Genesis is the only Polaris model with under-water exhaust outlets in the bottom of the hull.

Is your 1999 Genesis quieter than the 2001 was before the exhaust blew apart?

You can bypass the damaged resonator assembly with a suitable hose. The hose needs to withstand temperatures above 140F, and be oil and gasoline resistant. It also needs to be fairly smooth on the inside, to not restrict exhaust flow.

Keep in mind that the exhaust routing needs to loop up high inside the hull before going to the hull exit fitting. That high point is to keep water/waves from flowing backwards into the exhaust system when the engine is not running.

yea maybe a little, seem to hear more engine sounds since sitting over the top of it than exhaust.

Here is a pic of what K is talking about with the exhaust routing going up and then back down and out. I can tell you that there is a performance gain on the wholeshot but that is it, nothing more! I am not that familiar with your ski, however when the waterbox fills with water at idol, the exhaust has to push the water out initially, no waterbox no water to push out. On the ski pictured(pro785) the noise is louder but not that bad, just noticeable. Hope this helps you make your decision.
