What Do I Need To check AFR's

I am upgrading my current setup to an X charger and RRFPR. I know I need to get an o2 sensor setup to check AFR. I see that some are drilling and tapping the manifold instead of welding a bung in the j-pipe.

I don't see any in Jerry's store. What are you guys using and where can I purchase one. I have seen references to LM 1 and LM 2 in posts. What is recommended.

    Thanks

The innovate lc1 can be purchased off ebay for about 190 and does a good job. Order the blue if you decide on this.

LC-1 is very simple and works well.

Just becareful with the O2 sensor, they get very hot!! I actually just burnt my hand on mine, that's why I'm warning y'all.

watch amazon. i picked a dual sensor LM-2 kit for $429. i use it for dual cylinder monitoring on V-twin ATV's, but for a single sensor setup, you'll have a spare O2 sensor. also, when the sensor goes out, check out e-bay and search for the VW part OEM part number for them. i've found them for $50.

    Thanks for the link Bigdaddy

OCMAN what type of gauge do you have?

Innovatave has a DB gauge w/LC-1 and for about 90 bones more they have an XD-16 gauge w/LC-1. I don't know if all that extra stuff the XD-16 does would be used.

Does the o2 sensor need to be shielded for high temp. application? I read somthing about exaust temps over 900 degrees the o2 sensor needs to have something additional or a different type of bung.

    Thanks for the replies guys.
