Thread: Needles/seats?

    Needles/seats?

Will I need to replace these when I rebuild the carbs? I'm trying to figure out if I need to buy them when I buy the rebuild kits, and I have no idea if I really need to.

If they are worn and not seating properly then they will need to be replaced. My ski had been sitting for years without use so I was advised to change them and I did even though they didn't look bad upon inspection.

It's a good idea to do them with the rebuild.

What ski are we talking about?

Yes it is. I has super low hours, and is minty fresh. It did spend about 8 or 9 years in storage (indoors in CA), but with only a spark plug, battery, and fuel change I got it running like new (for the most part). I'm just going to replace some of the things that are probably tired after 16 years, and do some other minor upgrades (3 outlet fuel pump, slx ride plate, maybe a 780 FA).

Yep might as well change them while your in there doing a rebuild. Also they are very cheap in cost.

If it sat that long, definately replace them!!!!!

The viton tip is most likely deformed from the years.

    I wouldn't say they're cheap at $15 X 3 of them. Cheap insurance maybe......
