    Riva PowerCooler "bulletin" question....

I think at least one person has had the "cap" blow off causing water to rush into the engine but I couldn't remember if that was on stock cooling lines.
If I have the R&D cooling lines will I still need this new "part" (screw) to prevent the cap from blowing off? or is that splitter not used with the R&D cooling, therefore not needing the "bulletin" part/screw?

Yes the cap is the bulletin they were blowing out, And the new part screws in the plastic piece.

Thanks Jim. So even with the R&D cooling lines I will need to put this "screw" in wherever the "splitter" is?
    Sorry for the dumb questions.

I thought the R&D cooling kit eliminated that splitter altogether? I must be mistaken. Anyone know for sure?

I just looked at mine and I have the 4 way splitter and all 4 "nipples" are being used..... and I have the R&D cooling. Guess I don't need the replacement "screw".
Too bad I don't know enough to know where all the lines go.....?

Gary, what are you using for your new Riva IC inlet cooling line then? Your 4 way "X" splitter should be plugged up if you are using a new, dedicated 1/2" cooling line to the Riva IC. Can you take some pics of your setup? If you do use the new Riva Screw, you will have to take the X out of the boat and use a power drill to get the screw into the X splitter. No way in hell can you use a screwdriver while its in the boat

I AM using a new, dedicated 1/2" cooling line to the Riva IC. This is why I'm so confused as to why there is no "cap" on the 4 way where this "screw" is supposed to go - there are cooling lines attached to all 4 spots of the 4-way, so there is no place to put the screw.
I will attempt to get pictures....
