    Question MoTec wiring question !!!!!

On B22 on the (smaller) plug that plugs into the ECU my wire is Blue, what color is yours?

Installing a fuel pressure gauge and the wire according to the MoTec Yamaha PWC documentation on B22 should be grey.

If I plug in the Fuel pressure green lead in place of the blue wire in B22 I get Map sensor errors and no fuel pressure of course.

    I've got a grey wire on B22.

So your plugging the fuel pressure reg into av8?

I have a blue wire on B2 on that smaller connector which is the SYNC input as per the diagram. Just double checking if your reading the instructions right, it confused me. "LOOKING INTO THE CONNECTOR ON THE ECU".

Where are you wiring the 0 and 12 volts to for the fuel pressure sensor?

. You may be dragging power off the MAP sensor 12 volt rail which could cause your faults.

    I am spliced into A9 & B15 for Aux 5 volts.

This is what he plug looks like. Note the orientation

    Hi Biz,

Yep the blue is definately the B22 (I put my big glasses on and went outside in the bright sun to triple check against your picture and the manual.

Mine is probaly an early loom and is modded to suit turbo, knock sensors and goodness knows what else

Just double check the wiring for the 5 or 12 volt rails and the Aux 0volt.

Then it might be over to the Motec guru's here to see what has to be done in the software to apply the AV8 to the right area.

    I wish I knew more

Yes, I do speak another language but it relates closely to cows and toilets

You need to watch what you say hitman, that could start a whole new thread relating to liable

And yes I am an electronics tech but I know sh-t about programming.

    HI Shobiz
B22 is indeed AV8 as Gunna said.
This is one of 8 generic voltage inputs that can measure voltage from any sensor. You need to of course calibrate that sensor in the "Input Set up"
If you have it wired correctly then you shouldnt effect the other sensors, so your post tells me you have something wrong.
Most automotive pressure sensors will run of 5V and have a 0V as well as the signal, you dont really want to be hooking 12v to any sensor, lots of reasons for this but I wont go into them now.
So I need to know what sensor you are using so we can work out the calibration. If you send me your latest configuration I can set it up for you.

    Cheers
