    Yamaha not getting fuel

Have changed the plug wires and coil; had a fouling plug and too much gas to one cylinder so we changed the diaphrams in the carbs and now we cant get the pump to prime...pouring gas right into carbs makes it start and run til gas burns off but wont stay running because its not sucking the fuel up out of the tank.........help!!!! please!!!!!

Have you checked the filter or fuel lines for blockages/kinks?

did you reverse the feed and return lines?

Well the lines were reversed........took it out today, it ran good for about 30 minutes, started to sound and feel like it was 'missing' again. Plugs not fouling though. By end of day, could not get ski up on a plane, barely got over idle speed, as we kept going the ski was losing power.....engine was revving, sounding fine but at high rpm and ski would not go over idle.......when throttle pressed it boggs down like it wants to go but it doesnt....what now?????

Agreed. Always a good first check when things don't appear as they should.

Were you able to reach around the exhaust to get the lines switched? if so, how did you do it? Or did you have to loosen up the exhaust and pull it out a bit? thanks for your insight. michael snively
