Question Handheld GPS for PWC use

I am thinking of getting a handheld GPS for navigation thru the northeast waterways. Does anyone have experience with performance, cost, ease of use, waterproof, etc.
I would like to have some sort of backtracking feature cause I get lost sometimes.

Also where to get and best prices

I currently use the Garmin Forunner 201. Very easy to use and can be worn on your wrist.

My previous GPS was the Garmin E-Trex. Easy to use and has a larger screen than the Forerunner.

Both are about 100.00 bux shipped to your door on ebay.

They will track your course and path and let you backtrack, but they will nto show the waterways like major roads.

You may want to look into the Etrex Legend or a higher end model.

I am looking more for a unit that will show that. I came accross the GPS 76cx but I have concerns about the needed maps. They are not cheap and I don't want to download one only to find out I have the wrong one.

Too bad for such pricy units the information on them is so vauge.
    Thanks to all
