Newb from Rochester NY
I just picked this up from a good friend. Its a 96 SLX 780. My buddy owned it for about 10 years and its had just about everything important replaced while he owned it. The engine was rebuilt 2 years ago, and the carbs were rebuilt two weeks ago. Its got a newer battery, starter, and brain. I read that this is the Fuji engine, is there anything I should know about it? I have had this out 3 times now and its a blast. I have always wanted a ski after riding them in the past, and I got a deal I couldn't pass up. I paid 1200 with a Yacht Club trailer. Great deal IMO. I am a newb here and I am loving this forum so far. Where should I look for replacement parts and aftermarket parts? What do I need to know about this rig? Where can I download a PDF of the owners manual? Thanks in advance for everything. I am also into cars, I have a 2004 Mazda6 S GT and a 99 Mazda B2500 as a DD. I have to say jetskis are about the best thing with an engine I have ever experienced. Thanks for reading!
Here are some pics of my vehicles with wheels.

I have a few questions about the SLX.
What is the HP rating?
What is the top speed? I got it up to 52 I think so far, but it was a bit choppy and I am 210 lbs.
What RPM should I be at at WOT? I think I saw something close to 7k but at WOT I wasn't really paying attention to the MFD.
I bought an O'brien PFD from Dick's for 50 bux. I think its meant for wake boarding, but it keeps me afloat just fine. Its got a front zipper and two clips. Is this alright to use? I hope so.

i think the hp is around 100 your rpms should be around 6500. and the mfd lies so the only true way is to know by gps.
well i live right on west lake rd.. across from that green gas station.
but i ride where ever if one of my buddys says lets go to..... ill go lol.. i go to Niagara river some times as well. you should let me know next time your in the area and we can go ride a bit..
and that life jacket will be fine

I spent the weekend in Niagara Falls CA, I was looking at the Niagara on the ride home and saw a bunch of skis. I have to go there sometime. I'll be out near Charlotte and Braddocks Bay until the season is over. LMK if you wanna make the trip.

The 780 Hp is listed as 92+
Should turn around 6500 RPM at WOT
And the MFD should read around 56ish MPH.
Your PFD is fine as long as it properly fits you.
And welcome to the hulk
