    ultra 250x oil in intake

i have kaw ultra 250x stock 40 hrs. normally says '70mph' now more like '52mph'. it is looking like maybe some water or gas in oil, though it doesnt ignite under match. there is a stock little clear tube on some intake box, its filling with some oil. oil is in that box. i believe this is causing the plugs to maybe missfire and cause ski to go slower. rpm's are about the same maybe little less, boost looks normal.

i believe oil is coming from the plates on the cylinder head by that hose.

any suggestions on how to look at this situation?

    My suggestion are as follows

    Reason fault has happened.

Oil level is or has been to high
this in turn will cause oil to collect in the intake and then will be sucked threw the INTERCOOLER
this is potentially where some of your problems lie!

    I would

    1. Remove and flush your INTERCOOLER ( only takes approx 1-2hr even with limited knowledge of mechanics
    2. Check SUPERCHARGER belt tension, and throw the cover away while you are there that way u can flush, lube and inspect the idler correctly
3.Change your oil and only refill to the mid way between FULL-EMPTY
    4. Replace your spark plugs

Eitherway dont get all caught up in the GIO crap
yes supercharged engine can and do suffer from it, easy way is change it regulary as oil is cheaper than a rebuild

all the how tips etc are in the SEARCH button

thank you for the info. i pulled the intercooler and there is a decent amount of milky oil on the radiator fins, maybe enough to prevent air flow sufficiently. i am going to get some gas and swish it through there. i dont know if i should follow it up with water or not

I do, then sit it on its end in the sun for a few hrs, and a hair dryer/compressor helps as well

I use fuel, then rinse, then degreaser, then cover two of the ends up with tape or plastic bags and fill from the third hole, cover with your hand and shake it all about, repeat 3 or 4 times. then leave sit on one end to dry for 24 hrs.

There was a definite lot of grime in there, i have cleaned it thoroughly, and followed with several rinses with water. now to change the oil and waiting on spark plugs, i'll post back later.
