I didnt think spark plugs could really do this

stock 04 rxp, I had those crappy ngks in it. took those out and cross refrenced it to a even crappier champion spark plug, when I put the champions in I lost the snap out of the machine and I couldnt get it over 7400 rpms, so i put the ngks back in, im back to getting 8150 and the snap is back, but i still have that old ngks in it, so I was wondering what is the best spark plug to put in there, when over the winter shes gonna get some heavy mods

Those "crappy" ngk's are the best IMO. The Denso's are good but are more prone to fouling and are expensive.

Never had a problem with the Densos in either of my skis,,Matter of fact the NGKs would run rougher under idle than the Densos did...

Eric,...I have mainly heard of this when guys winterize their skis and they sit over the winter with fogging oil on them...

I've seen it but then again I've seen the ngk's foul. The reason I say the denso's tend to foul more often is mainly here say and puting 2 and 2 together. We've got several boats with the ngk's and the only one running the denso's developed a mis and turned out to be a fouled plug. Put the crappy ngk's back in and never had another problem. I say if they are working for you and you are happy with them then stick with em.
We dont winterize our ski's here. lol But this was after the ski sat for about 6 weeks. I

Maybe someone just ran the ski to rich. The densos definitely improve idle characteristics.
