    13/22 or 13/23??

    Hi,

I'm currently hitting the rev limiter hard.
My mods are on my signature and I'm still on stock prop.
A friend has a spare skat 13/22 which I will install this weekend to try to be off the rev limiter.
I've read many threads about the prop pitch but still can't figure out whether the 13/22 id Ok or if a 13/23 would be better? (there no one/company here to repitch props)
I'm aiming at a reduced cavitation, strong holeshot and acceleration (top speed is only a plus, as I'll be fine within the 72/74 mph range).
    Thanks

With the B1, I would go with a 13/25 prop. You will still be hitting the rev limiter with the 13/23. Especially if you are trying to stay off the stock limiter.
I planned on the 13/25 & B1 setup but got the C1 wheel instead so I will be going with the 13/23.
I have a 13/25 Skat that I planned to use that I am selling. Let me know if you are interested.

I have the 13/23 on my setup and it is revs past the 7700rpm mark. With your B1 and the stock ecu, you will be hitting the rev limiter with the 13/23.....I was bouncing off the limiter when I had the B1 and stock ecu and the stock boost limit and 13/23 prop.
You would need a taller prop than a 13/23 to keep your rpms from hitting the stock rev limiter. I'm thinking you need a 13/25 or 13/24 but because you have the boost clamp I think you would eventually hit the rev limit with the 13/24, imho. Anyone else want to chime in....

Last year when i installed the B1,powershot and 13/25 skat our summer was winding down and the air temps were in the 70's and water temps low 60's. The 13/25 was right on with my rpm's between 7680 and 7720. I went into this summer with same setup. It's been a crazy hot continuous summer for us so far with almost every day 90* or higher and humid. I'm still using the stock cooling so my max rpm's can vary from day to day. Some days i can still get 7650. Some days i top out at 7500. On the days of 7500 rpm my max speed is down roughly 2mph.

My next 2 mods are R2 reflash and Inter-cooler and i'll start out with a 14/23 skat and go from there.

Your best bet is to get a 13/25 prop with the adj nozzle and a 85mm ring this should have the ski just off the limiter. When I called RIVA to ask them about the stage 2 prop they told me that, that should be just enough to keep me off the limiter and the stage 2 comes with an E1 so I think it should be able to manage a B1. But maybe 13/25 is to tall a pitch, u should try the 13/24.
