    using after market gauges

    Hey guys, I have a 96 slt 780 and of course the mfd took a SH!+ on me. I wanted to know if a automotive fuel gauge and tach will work with the stock sending units ?

    Automotive tach won't work with a 2 stroker. Aftermarket sled/pwc tachs will.

    Doubt the auto fuel gauge will work with the Polaris ohm range for fuel level.

    Why not buy another MFD, or maybe I can set you up with a gauge cluster of Fuel, tach and speedometer if interested....

    I am interested, do you have something for a 2000 Polaris 785 Pro set up?

    Are you talking about me or the other guy? Personally, I don't have a problem spending the money to make this a great ski for myself to enjoy. It's a shame that I have to invest so much to make it what it should be, but the MFD is my last personal hang with this thing. I pretty much have all of the other bases covered. Anyone that can hook me up with a MFD will be my hero for life. LOL. That's the final chapter in my build if I can find something that will work.

    ya i meant you! lol im going to be using a round mfd instead of the oval in the handle bar pad. i have umi steering so, really cant use the oval unless i put that in the dash, but i already have a round mfd so. ill stick with that. check you pms.. that gauge package should look sweet. where ya gonna put it on the ski?

    I think a standard marine fuel display gauge should work with the Polaris tank level sender.
    33 ohms=full, 240 ohms = empty
