Good question. I am curious if they make noise on a ski the way they do on cars?

I bet it woudl but not nearly as significant as a car. A car has a lot more piping and a bigger Ic which is filled with pressure to be released or a lot more volume of air thats at a certain psi making the noise. theres not nearly as much volume of air to be released on our rxp's. im not sure if im right but hopefully someone else will chime in on the subject

Absolutely! Riva's stage 3 aluminum plumbing is available seperately and a Greedy BOV or equivilent will bolt right up.

Found here in the online store:
    http://www.4-tecperformance.com/inde...roducts_id=445

It also comes with an adaptor for those wishing to install the stage 2 style BOV.

Apparently not having one lets the engines backpressure slow down the clutch and save it, i think from what ive been gathering...i am not going to waste the money, metal washers and you should always be fine.

I am from the camp that believes that the back pressure helps slow the SC impeller down. The BOV relieves the pressure and the SC impeller is freewheeling at very high RPM's. When your ski re hooks it puts more stress on the clutch as the shaft is spinning at a higher RPM that it would have been without a BOV.

I can say when I ran the BOV on my ski last year i had two clutches blow up and you know the problems that came with that. BOV off no clutch problems and befor Nashville Stan installed the metal washers. So is there something to that I dont know.
