    Lightbulb 92 sl 650 triple

OK i i have a hole in piston # 3 i happen last year right before end of summer and right before i did the fuel upgrade didn't know till ran it this year.. anyway i found some metal dust in the reeds so i pulled the other two pistons just to make sure no other damage, how can i clean out bottom end with out taking it fully apart....?can i lean it up and blow it out with air and maybe parts cleaner, and oil it back up before put back together.....
and when its was running on 2 pistons i noticed air in the fuel lines they are all new and so is pump looks like coming in after the fuel filter but before the fuel pick up line....?

Crank needs to come out of the case to be properly cleaned.

You need to fix the air leaks.

The fuel system should not have air in it when the engine is running.

    1. What? The ski on it's side and spray the crank? Not ideal

    2. Special tools to remove crank from case? Just a flywheel puller (can be bought cheap or rented from auto parts store)

    3. On off switch? Petcock (fuel) or kill switch? (electrical) Petcocks do go bad with age.

    4. I have no idea what you're asking. ????

    1. lol. what i mean is .... there is a petcock that shuts fuel off and on to res.......... would this maybe be bad.... it does have all new fuel lines but nothing from fuel filter up........? i don't think i have a fuel water thing........

    2. would it be even worth doing.....?
SBT has new engines for around $700.00......

    3. where can i get the special tool for crank, ...
it sounds like lots of work to be done on the ski from a little metal dust, because of the piston......

do a search on sbt and make your on educated decision on weather you want a rebuilt motor or get a sbt..

first off if you are going to rebuild the motor.. i would upgrade to a 750/780 top end.. as well as a 94 or newer jetpump

you should go threw the crank case and make sure no other peices made there way into the bearings..

and yes the petcock can go bad and let air in the lines
