    I'll have the fish, please.

So I'm hanging at the mechanic shop today, and he tells me the following story. I assure you that I am not the subject of the story--just wanted a new throttle trigger.

A client took his ski way up one of our local rivers to go fishing last weekend. He catches a huge, huge fish, and doesn't have anywhere to put it. Too big for the storage compartment...so he takes off the seat and puts the fish in the hull of the boat. With the engine.

He goes along for a while, then the engine cuts off. Starts up again, engine cuts off. Starts up again and engine seizes. Another boat brought him in--turned out the fish had been flipping all over the engine compartment and disconnected the oil lines.

Brought in the ski, and it took a whole day to get the fish smell out of it...not to mention the damage to the engine.

And I thought I was stupid the other day because my SL 750 wouldn't start--and then I realized I hadn't connected the lanyard.

    Happy Tuesday! JP

I have sort of made a habit out of doing that same thing and also forgetting to turn the petcock to the "on" position. Never left the bilge plug out yet though.

If you're talking about that brass Smart Plug I got with the alarm on it, I decided not to use that thing. I ended up using the one that you recommended.

hah-hah-hah..this is a great story...almost as good as my buddy telling me he has a starter problem on his jet boat..we inspect...only to determine his starter magnet was pulling the starter gear down instead of pushing itself up..Oh!!!! Why yes Tom, the red wire goes to the POSITIVE side of the battery!!!! how he didn't mess up anything is beyond me.....red=negative.....black =positive NOT!!!!!!
